From Spain into France

As we walked around Pals we took photos of various buildings... The castle was located over the highest point of the town with its origins dating back to the 9th century. It was little more than a tower on Mont Aspre at that time. Mostly the castle was under the King's rule and used as a bargaining chip with the important lords of the country who in turn enlarged it to suit their purposes. In 1478 John 11 ordered its dismantling and the Tower Keep and a couple of rooms were all that remained.
